About Hamira

A family-run fulfillment operation with quality at its core

Hamira KG was founded in 2011 by the Friedinger family in Katsdorf, Austria. After several years in trade and brokerage, the company was restructured in summer 2014 into a service business focused on warehousing, shipping and logistics.

Today its core business is fulfillment, complemented by transport services — with a significant share of fresh organic products and food supplements moving through the warehouse every day.

Rafael Friedinger

“Carefully analysing each customer's requirements and needs matters enormously to me, as does continuous contact and information exchange. Only that way can we deliver the highest quality, which leads to customer satisfaction and long-term cooperation.”

Rafael Friedinger · Managing Director, Hamira KG
The challenge

Cross-docking speed, run entirely on paper

Hamira's core business is fulfillment, complemented by transport services. A significant share of volume consists of food supplements and organic products arriving fresh each day, much of it shipping straight back out — closer to cross-docking than to conventional storage.

Operating without a WMS, every process ran manually: order intake, stock records, batch and best-before documentation. The result was substantial time loss, a high error risk, and a model that could not scale with a growing client base.

The solution

Why PULPO WMS?

Traceability as standard, not extra work

Batch management with best-before dates, FEFO picking and complete order-level traceability are handled by the system rather than by spreadsheets — a hard requirement for organic goods and food supplements, and one manual documentation could never reliably meet.

Mobile scanning across the flow

Goods receipt, picking, packing and dispatch are captured by scan, including batch reassignment on returns.

Built for multi-client operations

The large accounts and the many smaller ones can be managed cleanly within one system as the client base grows.

New customers, live in hours

Adding new customers is quick and the setup is easy — in a perfect case, orders can ship just a few hours after the customer's system is integrated with PULPO WMS.

Support always within reach

The PULPO support team is always available for assistance whenever it's needed.

Rafael Friedinger

“Since going live we've cut the administrative work on every order by around 90%. The batch traceability alone would have justified the decision — what used to take us hours now takes minutes.”
